Yes! While our clinic is based in Towradgi, we regularly treat clients from across Wollongong, including suburbs such as Woonona, Thirroul, Fairy Meadow, Figtree, and surrounding Illawarra areas. We also offer mobile acupuncture services by request (a travel fee applies).
Acupuncture is generally not painful, but experiences may vary depending on the person’s sensitivity & needle location. You may feel a mild sensation when the needles are inserted. Many of our client’s report feeling deeply relaxed during and after treatment.
This depends on your condition, how long you’ve had it, and your body’s response to treatment. Some people notice immediate improvements, while others may need a series of sessions. Your treatment plan will be discussed during your first visit.
Yes. Private Health Fund rebates are available for acupuncture treatments. Please bring your health fund details with you to your appointment. We can issue a receipt for you to claim directly with your fund.
Failure to notify or attend an appointment without 24 hours notice or good reason may incur a cancellation fee of $50.
Our practitioner is a registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (AHPRA registered) and a member of the Australian Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA). She also has a Bachelor of TCM, an internship from Nanjing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, and over 25 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse.
At your first visit to our Towradgi acupuncture clinic, we’ll discuss your health history, current concerns, and goals. A personalised treatment plan will be created, and your first acupuncture session may include other therapies such as cupping, gua sha, or herbal recommendations depending on your needs.
